Heathrow airport has flights to Malaga everyday of the week with Iberia Airlines and British Airlines. Iberia Airlines is Spain’s largest airline and flies one of the most modern fleets in Europe. Flight prices vary from day to day, but as an example, a search on Iberia Airlines’ website for a flight for one person from Heathrow in the middle of August returning one week later offers its lowest price at Ј126, however, it stops at Madrid and the total flight time is increased to six hours. The same search through British Airlines’ website would cost Ј222 with no stop at Madrid.
Manchester airport has fourteen airlines providing flights to Malaga, four of which offer daily flights: British Airlines, Bmi baby, Monarch and Jet2. Using the above example British Airlines lowest fare was Ј210, Bmi baby for Ј189, Monarch for Ј176 and Jet2 for only Ј108. It is important to note that Jet2 is a low-cost airline and its price highlights its no-frills approach to travel in comparison to the relative luxury of British Airlines.
