When you board a Malaga flight from the UK, you aren’t in for a very long flight distance. But even though you aren’t flying long distance you can still end up getting nervous about flying if you don’t particularly like it.
Luckily there are ways you can reduce the nerves and get on with looking forward to your holiday. For example you can practice deep breathing and relaxation techniques before you fly, so you are used to having something to do to calm your nerves. If you are particularly nervous about taking off and landing but you are fine once you are in the air, be sure to practice these techniques while you are sitting on the plane and getting ready to take off.
It may also help to take relaxation tapes or CDs you can play on a personal headset. If you own an iPhone you can download such items or add them onto the device if you wish; the iPhone has an aeroplane setting which permits you to use it on board without disrupting the workings of the plane.
Staying calm is always a good idea, but we all have ways of making this happen for ourselves. For example you can meditate if you wish, provided you can do so while sitting in a plane seat! Some people take their minds off the journey by sitting and reading, whether that is a newspaper or a book of some kind. Indeed you can buy books which are aimed at making it easy to relax and enjoy a flight instead of feeling nervous about it.
In the end you must find your own way of relaxing, and for many people this includes having an alcoholic drink. We would not suggest you have too many of course, but there is a lot to be said for having one. It can calm your nerves and lead you to relax a lot more than if you stay tee total. It is usually best to stop at one though, otherwise you could end up feeling ill because of the movement of the flight. One is just enough to do the trick.
So you see, you don’t have to feel panicky or nervous on a flight. Just take a few simple steps and you will feel a lot better. Why suffer when you can actually enjoy the flight to some extent instead?
