A Review Of Malaga Flights On The Monarch Website

Monarch

Anybody who makes regular trips to Europe will be very familiar with the name of Monarch as being one of the UK’s main providers of low-cost scheduled flights. If you are looking for a really great deal on flights to Malaga, Monarch is a ‘must’.

Where is the website located?

The Monarch website can be found online at www.monarch.co.uk and the main home page of the site offers a series of quick links to every other part of their site, as well as to their current bargains.

Can I book a flight to Malaga online?

Yes. All of the flights to Malaga that you see advertised on Monarch’s website can be quickly and easily booked online.

Does the website offer a range of flights to Malaga?

Yes, it does. Flights are available from Birmingham, Manchester, London Gatwick or London Luton and run all year round. From Manchester you can fly every day of the year except for Christmas Day and choose from up to three flights per day from May until October and up to two per day throughout the rest of the year.

Can I book any other services through the website?

Yes. You can also book hotels, package holidays, villas, tours and cruises, and car hire through the Monarch website. Car hire is arranged via Sixt car rentals.

How do I go about booking a flight to Malaga?

Before you start with the booking process, take a look at the white tabs that you will see just under halfway down the home page. The fifth one from the left is headed ‘Timetable’ and if you click on this you will be directed to a page where you can insert your preferred departure and arrival points and the months in which you wish to leave and come back. Clicking on the ‘Proceed’ button will then bring up a calendar which shows the dates on which flights are available for this route. Click on any date which shows within a blue circle and you will be able to see the range of flights for that day. This incredibly useful at-a-glance feature really helps to shave time off the booking process.

Once you have decided on your dates of travel, you simply need to go to the top of the ‘timetable’ page and select your departure and destination points from the drop-down lists in the ‘From’ and ‘To’ fields, your departure and return dates (either select from the drop-down menus or click on the calendar icon), and the number of adults, children and infants who will be travelling. Once you have done this, click on ‘Show flights’.

On the next page, you will see a number of options for your outbound and inbound flights. Those for the dates that you selected will appear on a blue line, but the system will also show you dates on either side of the selected dates and these will either show against a pink or white background. Simply select your preferred options by clicking the relevant radio buttons on the left-hand side and then scroll down to the bottom of the page. If you have used Monarch for previous bookings, it is here that you will have the option to log in using your e-mail address and password, otherwise simply click on ‘proceed as new customer’.

The following page will ask you to type in the details for each passenger, and you will also be given the option to purchase travel insurance. Below this, you can choose from a range of other flight extras (including champagne!) and again, once you have made your selections, just click on ‘proceed’. The running total will appear on the right-hand side of this and the following pages so that you can easily keep track of the cost.

The next two pages allow you to select your baggage options and, for a small charge, to choose your seat for the outbound and inbound journeys. When you proceed to the final page you simply need to complete your contact and payment details and click ‘book & fly’… and then get packing!

Is the site packed with information?

Yes. The site offers all the information you need to book your flight with confidence. The ‘travel info & faqs’ page which is accessed via the white ‘travel info’ tab on the home page is especially useful.

In conclusion

The Monarch website is clear and easy to use, but best of all it offers some really great deals on Malaga flights.
